LAKdev supported the innovation platform of the city of Cologne in migrating an existing Drupal 7 website to the new Drupal 9 version.
Wellenreiter has been in business since 1987 and is the most experienced surf camp organizer. Throughout the year, Wellenreiter.com offers a wide variety of surf courses, accommodations, buses and camps that are listed on the website and can be booked directly.
The customer requirement
As part of the project, we managed the migration of the existing website from Drupal 7 to Drupal 9, as well as a complete design relaunch of the website. A particular challenge was to map the various booking options and offers in a complex booking process. In terms of design, the focus was on optimal mobile optimization and a responsive layout that looks good on all devices and is pleasant to use. This then resulted in the further requirements:

The solution
Drupal 7 and Drupal 9 were used for the implementation, supported by PHP, HTML/CSS and JavaScript. We implemented complex booking forms using custom Drupal Forms and implemented features such as emailing, voucher functions, availability checks and booking widgets. In addition, great emphasis was placed on the integration of images. We also ensured that all content could be edited without any programming knowledge.
