VEMAS was launched in 2021 to provide a more empathetic perspective on the behavior of people with disabilities. The website offers information about behavioral patterns in individuals with disabilities. Through the web app integration, users can record these behaviors using various tools and utilize the data for further analysis.

Client Challenge

The first challenge was to create an accessible, user-friendly design that would guide the development of the CMS website and interactive web app. Special attention was required for complex forms and automated PDF result generation. Key requirements included:

  • Fully accessible and data-compliant solution
  • Robust editorial and content management tools
  • Clean and intuitive form design
  • Mobile-friendly interface
  • Multi-person account management
  • Automated PDF generation and export

The Solution

The website was built with Drupal, while the web app was custom-developed with a React frontend in Laravel. This approach ensured accessibility and security, and allowed for a cookie-free solution. Data processing complies with GDPR and privacy regulations. Drupal CMS provides an intuitive interface for content management, and all administrators received editorial training. Special attention was given to embedding YouTube videos externally, only after obtaining user consent.

Targeted Project Development: From Wireframes to a Functional Web App

The project was developed through efficient coordination, based on wireframes and design proposals previously created in Figma. This enabled the integration of multi-page forms into the web app, which can be individually completed and edited. The input fields were defined in advance by VEMAS. The web app allows entries to be evaluated and reviewed, supports multi-user accounts, and ensures that all submitted results are automatically transferred to a results sheet that can be exported as a PDF.
